Since 1990, Dr. Michael Schimansky has been working for the City of Leipzig as the head of the Office for Economic Development, which he established himself. Born in Schwerin / Zippendorf, he graduated from high school in Leipzig, where he also subsequently studied economics and earned his doctorate.
The Office for Economic Development sees itself as a close partner of the middle class. His range of activities extends from contact management, via initial information and advice on economic issues, to the provision of economic information and conflict management. One of the aims of urban economic development is the creation of a reliable framework conditions for entrepreneurs and founders, as well as new jobs for the region.
